theMMRF.org
The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) is the largest non-profit in the world dedicated to finding a cure for this blood cancer.
the challenge
To advance its mission, MMRF needed to create a bolder brand that spoke directly to patients, allowing the MMRF to collect more patient data and ultimately help identify the right treatment options for each patient.
the outcome
With an aspiration to take the MMRF brand a step forward, we took the brand from data-focused to patient-centric while positioning them as experts in the industry. We developed a positive and modern look-and-feel, bolder tone of voice and a new creative marketing platform to signal to the market that MMRF has once again elevated expectations of the myeloma community, bringing the innovation necessary to find a cure. TheMMRF.org has became the new brand standard for the MMRF. and several collateral pieces and campaigns have been created based on our verbal and visual refresh.

We started with a deep understanding of the patient and their experience. Prophet conducted extensive research: patient and physician focus groups, ethnographic studies, and usability testing. This helped create a patient profile, validating key drivers of engagement and mapping the patient journey.
The content strategy and structure of the website were created through several working session with our clients. Together we defined the right story to tell — always mapping back to the patient journey and brand goals.
A brand face-lift was needed in order to bring the look-and-feel a step further and help position the MMRF as patient-centric. With the use of stylescapes, we brought to life three visual concepts.
Our clients landed on a visual direction half way between where they currently were and where they saw themselves going in the future — taking one step at a time. That look and feel was then used to create their new website.
Custom brand iconography and illustrations were created to help organize information creating a positive tone for the website.
The new bold and modern look-and-feel was so strong that the website led the way to redefine their entire brand. Collateral pieces and campaigns were then created and updated to match the design of the website. This became a true digital-led branding process for The MMRF.
