Let me start by saying that photos just don’t do any justice at all. I can confidently say that the scene above is one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen in my life. No, I’m not exaggerating. All the bright colors, the winding road, the gorgeous mountains, the puffy clouds, the blue sky… all too amazing to be true. But it was. The Flaming Gorge Byway is a ridiculously scenic drive located across the Southwest of Wyoming and the Northeast of Utah.
We started the Flaming Gorge loop in Green River, just a couple of miles away from Rock Springs, where my dad lives. We saw a wide variety of landscapes along the way, from the high desert plains of Wyoming to upper elevations of the High Uinta Mountains. The drive is about 90 miles long and took us about 4 to 5 hours to complete, considering that my dad had stop every 5 minutes so I could take pictures. 💁🏻♀️
