An Artful Soul
Sometimes you meet nice people, sometimes to meet unbelievably amazing people. This girl is a super talented artist with a funky personality and an incredibly beautiful soul — and I’m lucky to call her my friend.
Becca Borrelli is an Austin illustrator that has recently done work for HEB, the Blanton Art Museum and the Trail Foundation among several other clients. She’s also the creator of the Austin Coloring Book volumes 1 and 2. Her work is just remarkable. You can see more of it on her website.
Becca and I spent about four hours together in two different locations: South Congress Street and her beautiful art studio. As a result, I had over 1,300 photos to go through. Woah. During the shoot, I also got to meet her two sweet pups, Rose and Laila, which were making sure I was treating their mom well the whole time.
My main goal was to give Becca a photo library that showcased her beautiful artwork, her process and her products while also showing her hometown and capturing her more-than-wonderful personality. I know I’m biased, but I LOVE these. This photoshoot has been one of my favorites yet!
